6th Annual Roaming World Congress

The 2011 Roaming World Congress provided insight on the introduction of EU regulations over roaming tariffs. This year we are exploring even bigger changes, as the EU Commission looks at propositions & new measures for roaming regulations, which will ultimately affect operators, MVNOs, MVNEs, retail markets and Wifi markets. Elsewhere (Americas, APAC and MEA) regulation and competitive pressure have also resulted in reduced tariffs.

In addition, as mobile data is expected to show exponential growth, data roaming remains a huge topic for 2012. Cost is a particular issue for markets, and operators are looking at new strategies to tackle bill shocks, as well as methods of maximising their data roaming revenues.
