Deutsche Telecom has deployed NetCracker's portfolio of products to help aid its migration to next generation networks.
The operator is planning a next generation service and systems management (NGSSM) transformation as part of the transition.
NetCracker has been contracted to provide the common data management, as well as fulfillment and operations support for the NGN.
The tools to be deployed include Service Inventory, Service Provisioning and Activation, Resource Inventory, and Discovery & Reconciliation modules.
The NGSSM transformation program aims to allow Deutsche Telecom to manage digital assets across its networks and devices. It will emphasize standardization, COTS and network platform independence.
