LBS specialist Creativity Software has won its fourth contract in six months to provide lawful intercept capability to a Middle Eastern operator. Governments in the region typically require accuracy of between 50 meters and 150 meters, a spokeswoman said.
Motorola will complete the
separation of Motorola Mobility on January 4, splitting off one in eight shares of common stock for the venture. The company will change its name to
Motorola Solutions.
Huawei will build a 40Gbps WDM national backbone network for

Qualcomm’s Indian 4G venture,

British Telecom has signed a five year, £1.2 million (
€1.4 million), deal with HYLAS 1 satellite operator
Avanti, to bring
high-speed broadband to south-west UK.
Avanti also announced a
separate, $15.5 million (€11.8 million), deal with
TigrisNet covering Europe and Middle East and Africa.
