Packet software provider Metaswitch Networks is expanding into messaging by acquiring instant message firm Colibria.

Virgin Media Business is the first firm cleared to operate as a direct network service provider and Government conveyance network service provider in the UK, after meeting NGN 2-2-4 security standards.

MasterCard has deployed convergent billing, customer management and mediation from Intec to cover its billing lifecycle management processes.

Europe is proving a successful hunting ground for ZTE’s managed services, with a 300% rise in business in the region in 2010 contributing to an overall 60% hike in global contract values.
