Microsoft has signed its
first patent licensing deal in the autos market, agreeing to supply its Extended File Allocation Table technology to
Volkswagen’s software supplier, e.solutions.
Italian telco
Tiscali has contracted
Cisco to strengthen its backbone and rationalize its data centers, as it seeks to
cut costs and improve quality.
Nokia Siemens has finally
cleared regulatory hurdles to complete its $975 million (€659 million) acquisition of
Motorola Solutions network assets. The firm claims the deal makes it the US market leader, the largest non-Japanese vendor in Japan, and shores up its place as the world’s number two vendor.
