Telefonica chooses Convergys BSS suite

Telefonica has chosen Convergys' Smart BSS relationship management suite to support its corporate International Wholesale Services business.

The suite will be used to deliver real-time rating and billing for Telefonica's end-to-end services including voice, broadband, IP and mobile services.

Telefonica has also received a license contract for Convergys rating and billing manager and implementation services, which is bundled with the Smart BSS Solution.

Covergys said Smart BSS was specifically designed to support multinational business models like the one Telefonica follows for its wholesale services.
